Coaching classes for the PCM regular batches are given five days a week. During the eight months course period there will be 25 tests conducted on all Saturdays for which no extra fee is levied. Tuition fee for the course is fixed by Kerala State Civil Service Academy from time to time.

The Centre has an impressive array of faculty members who have many years of experience in engaging Civil Service coaching classes. They comprise of college and university Professors, retired as well as serving, and experts and professionals in various branches of learning. Seminars, discussions, debates and invited lectures form part of the programme.


ICSR has a library with very large collection of books on subjects prescribed for Civil Service examinations. Newspapers, Journals, Periodicals on related topics are also made available in the reading rooms. Wi-Fi facility is also available.

30 students of the Muslim minority community who top of the  admission test are exempted from course fee payment. Likewise, selected SC/ST students are also entitled to course fee exemption. The Department of Minority Welfare reimburses 6 months hostel fee for the Muslim minority students based on their attendance, performance and family income.

SC/ST students are entitled to Rs. 5000/- per month towards meeting hostel and mess fee. They are also eligible for a monthly stipend of Rs.1000/- per month. Financially backward students who belong to the general category can apply for financial assistance to weaker sections provided by the Govt. of Kerala for partial reimbursement of their course fee.
